Visual Dreaming in the LIfe Studio                 with Stuart Shils

DATE - April 25-27, 2019

LOCATION - Sedona Arts Center, Sedona, AZ

COST - $875

DESCRIPTION - This workshop approaches working from “life” through the graphic priorities of “painting” as opposed to anatomy. The “model” will serve as a shifting and relative point of reference, with focus on the artists‘ response to visual possibilities in the room. Figurative Painter’s Retreat with Robert Burridge

DATE - June 26-28, 2018

LOCATION - Sedona Arts Center, Sedona, AZ

COST - $425

DESCRIPTION -  Learn how to paint the freestyle abstract figure using drawing, painting and collage. Pash will model for the fifth year for this figurative painter’s retreat with Robert Burridge. Sedona Arts Festival - Draw-a-thon

Sedona Wine Festival - Paint Out

DATE - September 23, 2018

TIME - 12:00pm - 2:00pm for modeling session

LOCATION - Posse Grounds Park, 525 Posse Grounds Road, Sedona

COST - $35 advance/ $40 door

DESCRIPTION - Pash will pose in a toga with a wine barrel and grapes while 10 Plein Air artists paint. Finished paintings will be judged and available for purchase at this yearly event where you can also taste and buy local wines, enjoy excellent food, and learn about the history of wine, the wine industry and how to enhance your tasting experience. Plein Air Paint Out Series at L’Auberge

“Breath of Fresh Air” Sedona Plein Air Workshop w/ Kevin Macpherson

DATE - May 29-31, 2018

LOCATION - Sedona Arts Center, Sedona, AZ

COST - $850

DESCRIPTION -  This workshop will illuminate the path to more successful paintings. Demonstrations will break down the complexity of painting to reveal the magical process in simple-to-understand terms. With colorful instruction, investigation will be made into the problem-solving methods of past masters. Daily on-site painting and individual and group critiques, with one session during the workshop painting from the model, which Pash will pose for. Sculpting a Character Bust with Susan Kliewer

DATE - May 9-11

LOCATION - Sedona Arts Center, Sedona, AZ

COST - $400

DESCRIPTION -  Working with a master artist you'll move from first principles to nuance and exaggeration and learn to sculpt a convincing female bust. Students will be using oil base clay over a simple armature. The first day you will explore the basic structure of the head and features the second two days you'll learn to work from a live model capturing the specifics of character and expression.  See Sedona Arts Center for more information.


Life Drawing in the Waddell’s Sculpture Garden

DATE - April 16, 2018

LOCATION - Waddell Property, Cornville, AZ

COST - $25

DESCRIPTION - This is a special field trip for the Monday life drawing group that regularly meets at Sedona Arts Center. Pash will dance into poses with the life-sized sculptures of Master Sculptor, John Waddell on the Waddell’s property in Cornville. Afterwards, BYO sack lunch and take an artwalk among the sculptures and artwork of John and Ruth Waddell. RSVP for directions and list of items to bring.


The Figure Revealed: Artists & Muse

DATES - Exhibit: Jan 25 - Feb 5, 2018, 10am-5pm

LOCATION - Sedona Arts Center, Sedona

DESCRIPTION - An Art Exhibit highlighting the work of artists who are regular attendees of the Monday Life Drawing Group at Sedona Arts Center, which Pash is host and model for. The show will include opportunities for the public to experience drawing the figure and to watch live artist demonstrations. Featured during the Opening Reception, will be live contact improvisational dance inspired poses that the public is invited to sketch during a “draw-a-thon.” Attendees will be provided with paper and pencils. Pash and guest Mark Stevens will offer 5 minute, “quick gesture” poses, that will be based on their work together as performance artists and contact improvisational dancers. Attendees may draw or watch. During the First Friday Closing Reception, some of the artists, including Jim Joseph-Mendel, Charles DeLay, Patty Miller, and Greg Evans, will offer live drawing demonstrations based on the contact dance poses. Drawing Form in Space with Kurt Wenner

DESCRIPTION -  Kurt Wenner is best known for his street art. In this workshop, participants will learn that the fundamental language of classical drawing is available to and that this understanding will strengthen and inform all work in any medium or with any subject matter. Searching for Solid Ground

DESCRIPTION - Opening reception for “Searching for Solid Ground,” an art show for artists Rose Moon and Cathy Gazda. This show is an artistic exploration of life, and the wondrous ways we seek equilibrium and peace while facing the challenges of an ever-changing reality. Pash will offer a movement and dance interpretation of the theme.

Activating Negative Space with Vince Fazio

DESCRIPTION - Participants will learn to use drawing, collage and painting to create images that are both representational and dynamically abstract. During the last two days Pash will model the figure, which will be integrated as an element of a composition rather than a complete "subject matter" in itself. Drawing Crash Course II

DESCRIPTION - This course will explore the positive/negative space relationships that when combined with value pattern create interesting composition. It will start with charcoal and white conte on toned paper and a still life motif, followed by work with the figure, which Pash will model for. Capturing Beauty in Clay Retreat with Susan Kliewer

DESCRIPTION -  Pash will model for this workshop which will explore figurative sculpture in depth. Students will use oil base clay over a pre-made armature. Alla Prima Figure Painting w/ David Shevlino

DATE - February 27-March 2, 2012

LOCATION - Sedona Arts Center

DESCRIPTION - Pash is a figure model for this class about painting the figure alla prima (wet into wet) and the techniques used to create a fresh, direct response to subjects. There will be an initial demonstration, then students will work on their own and learn how to interpret and simplify their subject by seeing it as a series of basic shapes and forms as described by simple masses of color/ light and shadow. For more information see David Shevlino’s website.

DESCRIPTION -  Pash participates in-masked as the Muse at this showcase of works from the Arizona Print Group, an association of printmaker artists dedicated to the art of unique and limited edition fine art prints. The show is in conjunction with Art Detour, Artlink's annual self-guided tour of downtown Phoenix art spaces.
