DESCRIPTION - Pash hosts and models for these weekly open studio, live streamed groups. Artists assemble their own mediums and tools. Monday's the short pose group starts with 30-second to 5-minute gestures, then moves on to 20-minute poses. Thursdays for the long pose sessions, Pash holds two poses, with breaks. Prior to COVID-19 these groups met weekly at Sedona Arts Center since 2012. Please RSVP for each session. Inquire for more information.

DESCRIPTION - This workshop is designed by Bob Burridge and Pash to challeng you to paint what you percieve and feel rahter than just what you see. Day 1 will explore undraped and costumed poses. Day 2 is all about painting the figure in (still) motion and with emotion. Day 3 thefocus is on dance drawing and painting, i.e., painting the figure while it is in actual (very slow) motion. DESCRIPTION - mWorkshop with figure models on the sacred lands of will interact with the landscape as you are guided to reach deeply into personal visual expressions. Black and white photographer, Laurie Klein and color photographer Larry Lindahl each approach their craft in uniquely personal ways and will have you composing stunning images with several incredible figure models, including dancers Pash, and Mark Stevens. You with your camera in the light and landscape of Sedona will photograph the other-wordly vistas in nature, usually with models clothed or nude, to work with. More info here.

Village Watercolor Class w/ Live Model

2021 Online Life-Dance Drawing

DATES - Tuesdays, 12:30PM-2:30PM, MST

DESCRIPTION - Pash will dance and move slowly for 5-6 minutes in a pose that she will hold for 5-6 minutes, followed by another dance, and then another pose, etc., for the duration. This is a great practice for loosening up your drawing practice--and you are welcome to pop some moves yourself if you're so inclined! Pash's background in alternative dance and movement styles including Butoh, Contact Improvisation, 5-Rhythms, & Freestyle will inform the dance. RSVP for link to attend.

Visual Dreaming in the LIfe Studio with Stuart Shils

Sedona Wine Festival - Paint Out

“Breath of Fresh Air” Sedona Plein Air Workshop w/ Kevin Macpherson

Demonstrations will break down the complexity of painting to reveal the magical process in simple-to-understand terms. Sculpting a Character Bust with Susan Kliewer

DATE - May 9-11

LOCATION - Sedona Arts Center, Sedona, AZ

DESCRIPTION - Working with a master artist you'll move from first principles to nuance and exaggeration and learn to sculpt a convincing female bust. Students will be using oil base clay over a simple armature. The first day you will explore the basic structure of the head and features the second two days you'll learn to work from a live model capturing the specifics of character and expression.

Life Drawing in the Waddell’s Sculpture Garden

DESCRIPTION - This is a special field trip for the Monday life drawing group that regularly meets at Sedona Arts Center. Pash will dance into poses with the life-sized sculptures of Master Sculptor, John Waddell on the Waddell’s property in Cornville. Afterwards, BYO sack lunch and take an artwalk among the sculptures and artwork of John and Ruth Waddell. RSVP for directions and list of what to bring.

The Figure Revealed: Artists & Muse

DATES - Exhibit: Jan 25 - Feb 5, 2018, 10am-5pm

LOCATION - Sedona Arts Center, Sedona

DESCRIPTION - An Art Exhibit highlighting the work of artists who are regular attendees of the Monday Life Drawing Group at Sedona Arts Center, which Pash is host and model for. The show will include opportunities for the public to experience drawing the figure and to watch live artist demonstrations. Featured during the Opening Reception, will be live contact improvisational dance inspired poses that the public is invited to sketch during a “draw-a-thon.” Attendees will be provided with paper and pencils. Pash and guest Mark Stevens will offer 5 minute, “quick gesture” poses, that will be based on their work together as performance artists and contact improvisational dancers. Attendees may draw or watch. During the First Friday Closing Reception, some of the artists, including Jim Joseph-Mendel, Charles DeLay, Patty Miller, and Greg Evans, will offer live drawing demonstrations based on the contact dance poses. DESCRIPTION - Pash is a figure model for this class about painting the figure alla prima (wet into wet) and the techniques used to create a fresh, direct response to subjects. There will be an initial demonstration, then students will work on their own and learn how to interpret and simplify their subject by seeing it as a series of basic shapes and forms as described by simple masses of color/ light and shadow.
